Threadneedle bolsters fixed income team

Matthew Cobon has joined Threadneedle asa fixed income fund manager within the firm's developed government and currency team, led by Quentin Fitzsimmons.

Cobon, who has 15 years' experience in currency markets, has joined to bolster Threadneedle's offering across fixed income and absolute return investing. Prior to joining the firm, Cobon was global head of currency fund management at Aberdeen. He previously worked for Deutsche Asset Management, where he was responsible for managing investments in global currency markets. Cobon joins as part of a broader plan to expand the firm's global fixed income capability, under head of fixed income Jim Cielinski.
