New Star is to keep five funds from Edinburgh Fund Managers' (EFM) Oeic range as it starts to integrate the Scottish business. The Edinburgh Tokyo fund, will become the New Star Japan fund and will be managed by Michelle Sanders, who at present runs the group's `offshore Japan Recovery fund. The Pacific Equity fund will be headed up by Ian Beattie, who is also running the former Exeter Japan fund of investment trusts.
