Skipton Building Society has come to the market with two index-linked bonds offering exposure to the FTSE 100 and the Halifax House Price index (HPI). Both products, the Guaranteed Double Asset bond and Guaranteed Triple Asset bond are, as their names suggest, capital guaranteed and investors can choose to follow just the FTSE 100 or the FTSE 100 plus the HPI. Both feature a one-year and a five-and-a-half year element with the one-year portion of both offering a fixed rate of 6% a year between 29 September 2006 and 28 September next year.
