Pima has once again called for the Government to reinstate the 10% dividend tax credit on equity Isas, one of seven recommendations in this year's pre-Budget submission to Chancellor Gordon Brown. The trade body points to Isas as the most successful retail savings initiative since their launch in 1999, with a trend of new investments continuing despite falling equity markets. It has also called for an increase in tax-free savings limits at a time when the maximum cash Isa investment is to fall from £3,000 to £1,000.
