UK investors are reluctant about investing in pensions because of poor returns and a lack of knowledge, so it is up to providers and advisers to address these problems and encourage greater take up of pensions
The UK has a long history of private pension provision. Traditionally, many employers have provided high-quality pension schemes for their employees, supporting them with employer contributions. Today, however, research shows that some seven million people in the UK are not saving enough for their retirement.
