Invesco's PowerShares division is launching a regional ETF as one of the rollover options for the Perpetual Japanese investment trust. Other choices are cash or a move into manager Paul Chesson's open-ended Invesco Perpetual Japan fund. The trust was the top ranked vehicle in its sector over the last year but the board believes shareholders will not support its continuation. Head of investing institutions Tim Mitchell said the ETF will track the QSG Active Japan index and invest in a basket of 125 equally weighted large-cap equities.
