The UK's sole open-ended timber fund is expecting to double its assets again this year as investors flock to alternative assets. The Quadris Environmental Investment fund went from £10m to £22m over 2007 and has already reached £36m this year. Managing director Ian Hook expects the fund to double again by the end of the year. "There has been a lot of interest over the last few months because alternatives are attracting mainstream attention given market volatility," he added.
