Gam has opened up its Multi-Environmental fund of hedge funds to retail investors. The offshore vehicle invests in a range of underlying funds, all of which play environmental themes. Run by Catherine Cripps, it launched in January to cater to internal private placement clients but will now be more widely available. The concentrated portfolio includes eight to 12 funds diversified across five categories - clean technologies, water, commodities, alternative energy and natural resources.
