Sweet returns with T&G UK small companies fund

Teather & Greenwood is to launch a UK smaller companies fund for former Perpetual fund manager John Sweet in January. The Oeic launch, which is still subject to regulatory approval from the FSA, will have both institutional and retail share classes. Sweet is to operate a far tighter portfolio of holdings than he did at Perpetual where he worked for 10 years. Sweet left the Henley-based fund manager in June leaving his understudy of eight years, Mark Niznik, to take over sole responsibility for the retail and institutional mandates.
