Closed-ended structured products offering 100% capital protection will now have to offer terms of more than five years to remain eligible for the maxi Isa component. In its latest update of Isa regulations, the Inland Revenue said it plans to extend the rules used to determine a collective scheme's maxi Isa eligibility to the other possible investments, including direct stocks and shares, life insurance and stakeholder offerings.
