Alan Torry is leaving Société Générale Asset Management after 10 years with the group. The Technology fund head, who has run the £53m vehicle since launch in 1998, will pass the reins to co-manager Hugh Grieves when he leaves at the end of the month. Grieves has been co-manager since October 2000 and is expected to make little or no change to the investment strategy. Torry is hoping to find his next opportunity at a start-up or more entrepreneurial business, running US and technology funds.
