Million-pound property sales across Britain were down during the first half of 2005 from the same period in 2004, research from Halifax has revealed. This decline followed a 36% rise between 2003 and 2004. During the first six months of 2005, 1,508 million-pound properties were sold in Britain compared to 2,033 properties in the same period of 2004. However, in Scotland 40 million-pound properties were sold during the first half of the year compared with 18 the year before.
