Artemis has appointed Peter Saäke from Merrill Lynch to work with Phillip Wolstencroft on the group's European fund and to help develop and maintain its proprietary sector and ranking system, Smart Garp, which tracks over 2,000 stocks to identify those most likely to benefit from earnings revisions and upward momentum. Saäke and Wolstencroft used to work together at Merrill Lynch, where Saäke worked as a pan-European equity analyst. While there, he designed a sector valuation framework and developed a yield curve investment model.
