John Millar, the Stewart Ivory European fund manager appointed head of Europe following the merger with Colonial First State Investments, has resigned, writes Jenne Mannion. He is to join Martin Currie, where he will work on the Japan team with Michael Thomas. Jimmy Burns, who manages the European Smaller Companies fund at Stewart Ivory, will be acting head of Europe until a replacement is found.
