Aberdeen could become the first group to merge its VCTs as it considers the future of the underperforming vehicles it inherited from Murray Johnstone. Bill Nixon has been the named manager on the group's six VCTs since September, when John Simpson, who ran the four Murrary vehicles, and private equity division managing director Jonathan Diggines departed.
