Woodford's funds outperform

invesco's high income and income funds have consistently beaten barclays uk equity index

Neil Woodford's Invesco Perpetual Income and High Income funds have both delivered higher average annual returns than the Barclays UK Equity index during their respective 25 and 16-year lifespans. According to data from the latest Barclays Capital Equity Gilt Study, UK equities have returned an annual average of 14.3% over the past 25 years with dividends reinvested, falling to 9.9% a year on a capital-only basis. In comparison, Woodford's £1.76bn Income fund, launched in June 1979, has produced average annual returns of 17.3% with income reinvested and 12.8% without, to the end of 2004....
