Stewart Newton and Charles Richardson's Real Return Holdings Company (RRH) has merged with Swiss fund manager Veritas Asset Management. Prior to establishing RRH last year, Newton was the founder and executive chairman of Newton Investment Management and Richardson the group's chief investment officer. Newton left in 2000 after the group was bought out by Mellon. RRH focuses on long-term absolute returns and sells products directly on a fee basis. The merger deal, signed on 15 January 2004 and subject to FSA approval, maintains the Veritas business in the UK and Switzerland. The merged ...
