Resolution and Axial merger will give external investors first access to vehicles from Pearl Group's investment arm

Resolution Asset Management and Axial will offer retail versions of the latter's quants-driven products when the groups merge this year. This will give external investors access to vehicles from Pearl Group's Axial investment arm for the first time. Axial currently manages almost £30bn for Pearl, mainly in closed life books. As the group is strong in alternatives, a multi-asset, absolute return product is expected to be among the retail launches. The products will sit alongside Resolution's existing range.
