Returns on a 25-year regular savings with-profits plan from Sheffield Mutual would be up to 75% higher than from other life offices maturing on 1 February 2006, according to the group. Based on a £50-a-month contribution, returns from a Sheffield Mutual policy would be £73,519 at the end of the period according to the group's figures, compared to £68,971 from the next best provider, Liverpool Victoria. Standard Life's policy would produce £41,806 on the same terms. Over 2005, the Yorkshire-based friendly society's with-profits fund returned 14.47%, leading to an increase in terminal bonus...
