Neptune's Ewan Thompson is outperforming his sector average by almost double since launching his Emerging Markets portfolio in September. Year to date, the manager is currently returning -4.33% against a sector average of -8%, according to Lipper. He has been increasing his exposure to commodities, currently with an overweight position in energy and metals, having picked up Gazprom and Petrobas.
