Aegon's Stewart Ritchie is retiring at the end of the month after 36 years with the group. The group's director of pension development joined Scottish Equitable in 1972 as an actuarial trainee and qualified as a Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries in 1977. In 1989, he led successful opposition to the then Conservative Government's plan to restrict Small Self-Administered Scheme own-company investments to 5% of assets.
