Gam is to close its Star Universal fund after a holding in excess of 50% was redeemed. The group said the decision is in light of its size and the fact it will not get much in the way of future inflows. Manager Venkat Chidambaram, who has managed Star Universal since 2001, is leaving to pursue other interests.
