The institutional version of Standard Life’s Global Absolute Return Strategies (GARS) fund has passed the £500m mark for assets under management. It has attracted more than £225m of new business from pension schemes and other investors in 2008, taking the total AUM to £609m. The vehicle aims to exploit inefficiencies across global markets and to maximise risk-adjusted returns.
