After initial gains on Wall Street, shares began to fall as investors continue to worry about government debt. The Dow Jones fell 32.33 points (0.39%) to 8,259.8. Financials were down in early trade, with American Express losing 1.9% to $23.69, closely followed by Bank of America, which saw shares lose 1.7% to $11.21. Alcoa shares also fell despite an upturn in natural resources firms on the London Stock Exchange, down 1.99% to $8.92.
