New Star’s Property fund currently accounts for 25% of inflows into the firm’s range but manager Roger Dossett does not believe this has hampered his investment scope. With such strong inflows into an area of the market where it can be notoriously difficult to invest quickly, often leaving managers sitting on large cash reserves for long periods, Dossett said he has not had to resort to such measures. “We have maintained our level of investment and bought some sound properties,” he added.
