Redemptions from Polar Capital are expected to reach $500m in Q4 2008 because of market volatility. In addition to these redemptions, Polar Capital says the recent announcement of Julian Barnett's resignation will account for a further $400m of outflows as his Paragon fund is wound up. The Paragon fund is Polar Capital's largest hedge fund and investors in the portfolio will be given the opportunity to reinvest in the group's other hedge funds. In an unaudited statement of its assets under management, (AUM) the specialist asset management group says AUM fell by 22 % from 31 March 2008...
