Barclays Capital has launched a FTSE 100-linked income and growth product offering an annual income of 7%. The plan, which is based on Barclays senior unsecured unsubordinated bank bonds, also provides one third of the FTSE's growth, paid at maturity. If the FTSE has dropped by 50% or more at maturity investors' capital losses will be commensurate with the index falls. Minimum investment is £50,000.
