High yields from commercial property are expected to disappear within the next three years, according to Anthony Wyld, investment managing director of Close Property. In the future, investors should look towards property development and niche markets for returns, he claimed. Wyld said: "Commercial property is currently returning 7% a year but such high yields have only been evident since around 1997. It is just a short-term phenomenon."
