In the past three years, 5,000 technology and internet stocks have disappeared. Those that remain have a consumer audience ever more hungry for developments such as broadband, digital photography and computers

It is not surprising investors are wary of investing in technology - the past turbulent three years have seen many suffer heavy losses. More recently, however, technology stocks have picked up. The Nasdaq rose 47.8% over the year to the end of October, compared with the FTSE 100, which was up just 8.4%. We believe this is more than just a bounce and that there are compelling reasons to suggest not only has a recovery started in the technology sector but that it is sustainable.
