Potter and Burdett believe focusing on known areas has helped Credit Suisse's Cautious Managed fund to outperform

Credit Suisse's Gary Potter and Robert Burdett are well known for the large number of fund of funds portfolios they run as well as the level of outperformance their range generally achieves. The Cautious Managed portfolio, which launched on 10 August 2001, aims to achieve income and capital growth by adopting a cautious approach to investing. Up to 60% of its assets may be invested in collective investment schemes, mainly equities, with the rest held in cash or bonds.
