Global Alpha fund tops Active Managed sector

Neptune's Geffen continues to head up peer group, highlighting major emerging market position, Russian and Chinese financials and cash as behind returns

More than 80% separates the best and worst performers in the Active Managed sector over the past three years. As has often been the case in recent years, the best performance came from Neptune, with its Global Alpha product delivering 99.38% to 7 April against the sector average of 33.65% according to Morningstar figures. Run by Robin Geffen, Global Alpha also scored the highest annualised alpha of 0.95 against a sector mean of 0.02. M&G Managed Growth was the second best vehicle in the peer group, posting three-year figures of 56.29% while Margetts Venture Strategy was third with 55....
