Schroders is a group with a history of pushing the boundaries in investment management. With roots going back 200 years, it moved from Germany to the UK in the early 1900s, commencing asset management in 1922 with its first investment trust. The following years saw the group expanding beyond Europe to establish itself as a true global business. It established banking operations in New York in 1923 before floating on the London Stock Exchange in 1959.
