Bank of New York Mellon is celebrating the second anniversary of its Newton Global Higher Income fund with top-quartile performance, returning more than 8% over its benchmark. Launched in November 2005, Global Higher Income is managed by James Harries, a member of the four-strong global equity team headed by Paul Butler. Harries originally joined the group in 1995, moved to Veritas Asset Management in 2004 and re-joined Newton in 2005.
