Politicians and campaigners criticise ministers for delivering an inadequate net zero strategy for a second time

The government is today facing a barrage of criticism from green groups and politicians, after the High Court ruled for a second time that its net zero strategy was insufficiently detailed and as such is unlawful under the Climate Change Act. In a written judgement, Judge Clive Sheldon upheld the bulk of the case brought by campaign groups ClientEarth, Friends of the Earth, and the Good Law Project.
