Brian White, a co-founder of Midlands-based Berkeley Fund Managers and fund manager at GHC Capital Markets, has passed away unexpectedly.
He had more than thirty years' experience as a fund manager, having started his career with Refuge Assurance and later recruited and trained some of the most respected fund managers in the industry, including Richard Philbin, Ian Rees and Scott Spencer.
Paul Harris, CEO of GHC Capital Markets, said this week: "It is with a heavy heart that we announce the recent death of Brian White. Brian was a much loved and respected member of the GHC team, and he will be greatly missed by us all.
"Not only did Brian contribute to the development of the company and staff, he also added humility and humour and entertained many with beloved Elvis impersonations.
"I will personally miss the sound of his laugh and council of his knowledge.
As a friend and colleague he will be sorely missed."

A top guy
Over the 20 years that I knew Brian he was always a pleasure to deal with. His humour and friendship will be missed by all those who came in contact with him from both the fund sales side as well as the IFA side. His rugby banter was legendary and his presence at any seminar/roadshow was one to savour. A top guy.
