F&C Investments is to add to its sustainable investment range with the launch an Ethical Bond fund.

Slated for 1 October launch, it will be run by Rebecca Seabrook with Ian Robinson as the alternate manager.

Sitting in the IMA UK Corporate Bond Sector and benchmarked against the Sterling iBoxx non Gilts index, it will target credits from issuers which contribute to sustainable development. These include companies providing products such as housing and water or institutions that help to meet sustainable development challenges like renewable energy.

The fund will use identical ethical screening criteria to the Stewardship suite of funds, managed by Ted Scott.

Minimum investment in the product, which levies charges of 5% initial and 1% annual is £1,000. Commission to intermediaries is available at 3%, including 0.5% renewal.
