FOUR Capital Partners' UK team have been boosting exposure to cyclical companies that were sold off in last summer's market correction.

Last August the FTSE 100 fell below 5,000 as concerns mounted over the sustainability of Europe's sky-high debt levels. Cyclical stocks - in particular miners and energy firms - were some of the biggest losers as investors went to risk off mode. However, FOUR's UK equities desk, made up of former Schroders star manager Chris Rodgers - now running the £61m FOUR Active UK Equity fund - as well as colleagues Tom Carroll and Edward Williams, have been returning to cyclicals to take advantage of what they consider low valuations.
