Liontrust's Fosh: My top five stock picks

Julian Fosh, co-manager of Liontrust's £67m Special Situations fund, reveals his top five stock picks.

British engineering company Renishaw is at the top of Fosh's list. The company was valued at 1,514p on Wednesday, up from 1,031p at the end of September 2010, and 650p a year ago, according to the London Stock Exchange. "Renishaw is our top pick because it is rich in intellectual property, one of our stockpicking criteria, and trading well," says Fosh. Recent results showed strong growth in all areas, including their biggest market, China. Profits for the six months to the end of last year rose to a record £35.5m, from £7.1m in the same period of 2009, and dividends more than doubled ...
