SLI Corporate Bond Sicav reaches €1bn

Standard Life Investments' Corporate Bond Sicav has broken through the €1bn assets under management barrier.

Launched in September 2003, and managed by Craig MacDonald and Saida Eggerstedt, the fund has produced top quartile performance over one, three and five years and since inception, according to Morningstar. It has also outperformed its benchmark, the iBoxx European Corporate Bond index, over the same time periods. MacDonald says a focus on single names during 2008's liquidity crisis and this year's recovery in spreads have boosted the fund's performance.
