Last week was a brutal one for mutual funds exposed to Latin America with funds from Neptune and Scottish Widows losing the most. Of 1911 UK-domiciled funds reporting results over the last week, Neptune Latin America lost the most with a 12.38% fall over the five days. Jeff Casson’s Scottish Widows Latin American was close behind it with a 12.31% drop. Credit Suisse’s Multi-Manager Emerging Markets Portfolio lost 11.65%, followed by F&C’s Latin American Equity which lost 11.02%. Of funds making gains, only four funds out of the whole UK-domiciled space made more than 3% last week. ...
