Jamie Hooper is positioning his F&C UK Prime fund for tough times as market sentiment sours. According to CSFB statistics, the outlook for global equities has fallen from euphoric in the first quarter of the year and is now heading back towards trend level, although Hooper suggested it could quite easily go past this on the way down. He added: "In January, there was a strong consensus there would be growth, M&A activity would pick up, profits growth would be 10%, and companies would be giving cash back.
