Collins Stewart is to launch a retail bond fund in November that will use derivatives to short issues. The Dublin-based fund will be run by the group's chief investment officer Jim Goodey and has been set up with the aim of outperforming the three month sterling Libor rate by 2%. It will invest in G10 issuances including Italy, France and Germany but will also have the scope to place up to 30% in corporate bonds with a minimum A rating.
