Head of the gartmore's fof team will hand over asset allocation decisions to peter gale

Gartmore's recently arrived funds of funds (Fof) team, headed by Bambos Hambi, is to hand over asset allocation decisions to a private equity specialist. With previous employers Insight Investment and Rothschilds, Hambi and his colleagues always used the in-house view. At Gartmore, however, the team will adopt the asset allocation strategy of Peter Gale, who runs the Royal Bank of Scotland pension fund, as well as heading up Gartmore's private equity division.
