The discount on the JPMorgan Emerging Markets trust narrowed over the year to the end of June, due partly to strong performance and partly to greater liquidity following the merger with F&C Emerging Markets. Over the 12 months, the vehicle’s discount narrowed 12.3% to 8.6% while its net asset value rose by 36.2% against the MSCI Emerging Markets Free Index’s rise of 31.3%. Over the same timeframe the trust’s share price rose 40.7% in total return terms.
