Nearly 75% of all-cap UK funds have underperformed the FTSE All-Share over the last three years, according to figures from Lipper Hindsight. Looking at the UK All Companies sector, the data reveals that only 26% of the 278 funds holding a three-year track record outperformed the FTSE All-Share over the period to 31 August. The figures show that £1,000 invested in the worst performing fund three years ago would now be worth £1,231 before initial charges.
