Ethical and climate change investing: Funds to suit all

Mark Hoskin, managing partner at Holden & Partners, identifies three high performing funds from the firm's 2010 Guide to Climate Change & Ethical Investing (available at www.holden-partners.co.uk) that may be be suitable for all investors.

In the year to 30 September, Allianz RCM Global Agricultural Trends returned 26%, while Ecclesiastical Amity International and Pictet Timber returned 18%, significantly outperforming both the FTSE 100 (11%) and the MSCI World index (8%) and demonstrating the merits of active management. These funds may not be familiar to UK investors, as Pictet, Allianz and Ecclesiastical have not marketed themselves for very long in this market.
