New Star is shining brightest in sector

The Active Managed sector has seen several launches over the past three years, as well as a wide range in performance from existing vehicles. The sector's average bid to bid performance for three years to the end of April 2006 stands at 85.14%, according to figures from Standard & Poor's. Growth for funds in the peer group ranges from a low of 11.84% from the JPMorgan Private Investment Company's (JPMPIC) Diversified offering, to a high of 151.77% from Paul Craig's £119m Global Strategic Capital fund at New Star.
