Renowned as one of the most successful boutiques in the market, Thames River Capital began life in 1998 as a challenge to its founders to run their own business. The firm has received major press attention this year, poaching fund of fund managers Gary Potter and Robert Burdett from Credit Suisse. Thames River has also taken Michael Warren from HBSC, giving him the task of widening the firm's client base to include more mainstream UK intermediaries.
