Average UK small-cap fund returned 40.1% over three years to end of October in a sector that is seeing respectable returns across the board
While the top cumulative performer in the UK Smaller Companies sector returned 191.37% bid to bid over three years to the end of October, even the worst fund returned a respectable 57.84%. According to data from Standard & Poor's, the average fund in the peer group grew by 94.97% over the same timeframe. Heading up the sector over the period, Stuart Sharp's Rensburg UK Micro Cap Growth trust is a portfolio of 100 names that invests in the very bottom of the UK market.
