Nikko AM expands fixed income team with Lazard hire

Nikko Asset Management has expanded its global fixed income team with the hire of fund manager Holger Mertens from Lazard.

Mertens joins the Asian-specialist firm as a global credit fund manager, having worked at Lazard for 13 years, where he ran the European High Yield fund.  The group has also appointed Steve Williams as senior portfolio manager and Ee-Yung Yip as senior credit analyst.  Williams spent eight years working on US investment grade strategies at Nikko's New York office and will now relocate to London. Yip joined Nikko in December 2014 from F&C Asset Management, where he worked for five years. He also previously held roles at Aberdeen Asset Management and Credit Suisse Asset Management.  ...
